Manaslu Region

Manaslu Region

The Manaslu Region is one of Nepal's most spectacular and less-crowded trekking destinations, offering pristine mountain scenery, authentic Himalayan culture, and challenging adventure. Named after Mount Manaslu (8,163 m), the world's eighth-highest mountain, the region lies in north-central Nepal near the Tibetan border. It is ideal for trekkers seeking a remote and rewarding experience away from busier trails.

Manaslu Region trekking is best known for the Manaslu Circuit Trek, one of Nepal's finest long-distance treks. Other popular trekking trails in the Manaslu Region include the Tsum Valley Trek, Manaslu and Tsum Valley Trek, and the Manaslu Circuit with Rupina La Pass. These routes pass through traditional Gurung and Tibetan-influenced villages, ancient monasteries, dense forests, and the breathtaking Larkya La Pass (5,106 m).

The best season to visit Manaslu is during spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) when the weather is stable, temperatures are comfortable, and mountain views are at their best. Winter is much colder, while the monsoon season brings heavy rainfall and slippery trails.

The number of trekkers visiting the Manaslu Region has steadily increased in recent years, with more than 10,000 international trekkers annually, making it a growing alternative to the Everest and Annapurna regions while still retaining its peaceful.
